This building, nestled in trees behind the Main House, includes the original Carriage House which was Professor Crenshaw’s personal hide-away. He, like today’s guests, must have appreciated the peace and quiet which this secluded building offers; for it was here that he authored mathematics textbooks which earned him international recognition in his field. The Carriage House still has the foot-wide floor planks which were laid before the turn-of-the-century. The floors and cedar walls help it retain a rustic feel. It also boasts a full sized bed in a ladder accessible loft above the queen bed and a twin size day bed adjacent to the full bath.

Attached to the rear of this original structure are two additional guest rooms facing the side yard which is planted with a variety of native shrubs. These rooms appeal particularly to guests who appreciate a tranquil place to study or unwind. These accommodations feature a private bath, cable TV and Internet access. Well appointed kitchenettes make the hotel style perfect for longer stays, family reunions, and tail gating retreats.
Room Rates: $110- $145 plus tax, ( Breakfast is included 4- Carriage House; 2 Jordan and Samford)
